Extended Vacation Tours, 2010
Overview
We will have a full slate of extended tours for 2010, as usual. Information will be posted here as it becomes available throughout the fall and winter.
Tour of the KATY Trail I
March 28th through April 3rd, 2010. Enjoy a week riding of the most popular bicycle trails in the midwest, while we take care of all the details. This tour includes a train ride from St. Louis to Sedalia, five days of riding through farmland, small towns and Missouri River Valley fields, a tour of the state capital, and more.
Illinois and Michican Canal Tour
May 7th through 9th, 2010. A “canal to trail” conversion in north central Illinois that passes through numerous state parks, restored historical sites, and great scenery, along the banks of one of our nation’s most important early transportation systems.
Tour of the Natchez Trace Parkway
May 22nd through 28th, 2010. Seven day tour of Mississippi and the historic, bicycle-friendly Natchez Trace.
Grand Tour of St. Genevieve
June 5th and 6th, 2010. Ride back roads along the Mississippi River to St. Genevieve, Missouri.
Tour of the KATY Trail End to End
June 6th through June 13th, 2010. An extra day added to the start of our normal itinerary, so we ride the entire trail starting in Clinton. An extra day to enjoy the fine Missouri scenery and famous KATY Trail.
Tour of Lake Michigan Coastline
June 19th through 25th, 2010. Week long ride on the Lake Michigan shoreline of Michigan’s scenic Lower Peninsula, capped by a day on Mackinac Island.
Tour of Tunnel Hill State Park
June 26th and 27th, 2010. Weekend tour of another fine rails-to-trails park, this one in southern Illinois.
Tour of the Baltic States: Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia
July 17th through 31st, 2010. Our premier tour for 2010, two weeks of beautiful beaches on the Baltic Sea.
Fall Tour of the KATY Trail
September 26th through October 2, 2010. Spend a week on the KATY during its most popular season, the fall. This tour includes a train ride from St. Louis to Sedalia, five days of riding through farmland, small towns and Missouri River Valley fields, a tour of the state capital, Octoberfest in Hermann, and more.
Tour of New Orleans
November 6th through 12th, 2010. We head to southern Mississippi, Louisiana, and the “Big Easy” in November. The weather for riding is fine and the food is superb. Our first two runs of this tour (2008 and 2009) were great times, so we are doing it again.
